why obc Exists
boxing built the
foundation.
Family gives it
purpose.
Opelika Boxing Club is being created from a lifelong belief that real boxing
can shape stronger people, stronger families and a stronger community.
‘‘I first found boxing at 14, and I have carried its lessons with me ever since. I loved learning the sport, but what changed me most went far beyond throwing punches. Boxing taught me how to remain calm under pressure, keep working when I was tired and build confidence one hard-earned round at a time. Those lessons have shaped how I approach work, fatherhood, setbacks and every challenge life put in front of me.
Opelika Boxing Club comes from a desire to pass that experience forward. As a husband and father, I want to build the kind of gym I would trust with my own family—one where a nervous beginner is welcomed, a serious fighter is challenged and everyone is treated with respect. You won’t need experience, perfect fitness or plans to compete. You only need the courage to begin.
For me, OBC is about more than teaching people how to box. It is about helping people discover what they are capable of and giving Opelika a true home for authentic boxing. Whether you want to compete, get in shape, build confidence or find a positive place for your child, I want you to walk through our doors feeling welcome—and leave already looking forward to your next round.’’
The obc promise
every person who walks through our doors
will be welcomed, challenged and treated
with resPECT.
DISCIPLINE • CONFIDENCE • COMMUNITY
SO MUCH TO ME
''Fitness means more to me than just working out or looking a certain way. Losing my mom after she struggled with her health really changed how I think about health and how important support can be. It also made me realize how much I want to help people feel more confident and capable in their own lives.
I have always wanted to help people, and that desire has shaped the way I approach fitness. I want to support others as they learn, grow, and feel more confident in themselves.
That is what I want to bring to OBC. I want people to feel comfortable walking through our doors, no matter where they are starting. I want beginners to know they will not be judged, and I want every member to feel like someone is truly in their corner.
My experiences have shaped the way I see health, but they have also given me a strong desire to support others. If OBC can help people make their health a priority, build confidence, and feel supported, then this is about so much more than opening a gym. It means we are building something that can genuinely help people.''
